configure /jointfilesconvert/484795/bgp peer-group <peer-group-name> weight <number>

Description

Configures the weight for the peer group and all the neighbors of the peer group.

Usage Guidelines

BGP selects routes based on the following precedence (from highest to lowest):

• higher weight

• higher local preference

• shortest length (shortest AS path)

• lowest origin code

• lowest MED

• route from external peer

• lowest cost to Next Hop

• lowest routerID

Example

The following command configures the weight for the peer group outer and its neighbors:

configure /jointfilesconvert/484795/bgp peer-group outer weight 5

peer-group-name Specifies a peer group.

number Specifies a BGP peer group weight. Range is 0 to 65535.
